There are a few options I know of, it may be that something went wrong with a NOR file or a file in the HDD or something, I had this trouble recently. You could try and go into the PS3 recovery menu which is possible with RSOD and do a Restore File System this doesn't harm anything on the console except messages etc. or do a Rebuild Database, this may take a few hours and may fix the problem. If it's Jailbroken, put your FW onto a USB and try and reinstall it or a different one. If all these options fail or don't work (for me I could not do restores and system update froze my console) I did a Restore PS3 System, this means you will have to reinstall everything on the console. From there you should now be able to install FW via system update in the recovery menu. If your not jailbroken I guess you can try installing 4.55 OFW from the recovery menu, this method worked for me. If it doesn't for you. You may have to get a unbricking service.
