it's supposed to do that mine does it for about 1 min or less i guess what im saying is to wait and it will turn off and also if the game freezes the green light flashes longer and after 30 secs- 1 min it will beep 3 times

use a console manager to hard boot soft boot then turn off ps3 from their before signing back into your account... make's sense?

Yeah this happens with some games that are on external hdds. Like for me it only happens with mw3

It happens quite a lot and nothing you can really do about it.. Just turn it off from the back and you will be fine..

Yea happens to me and when it does the best thing to do it hold the power button down until it turns off
