So you had a power outage and now you have GLOD(green light of death)...That's not good. Something probably fried or popped or currupted..I would try another known working hdd and see if it wants to run, but if not, and you can't get into the recovery menu, I dont think there's going to be much you can do about it..Next time, if you didn't already, use a surge protector they are to stop things like this from happening.

That's most likely the GLOD and is possibly meaning that the RSX chip is dying... you could try searching Youtube for a fix, but they don't always work. Since, if you can't even get a picture appearing that's not a good sign at all.

Haxor!
timing with power outage could be mere coincidence. although its highly suspicious. keep trying to power it on in quick succession. failing that, youre going to need to try beflow it atleast.

a fat i got off a friend would give ether ylod or GLOD on start up but basic reflow and replacing dye thermal paste fixed that but in some cases as you would know it is not worth fixing or is cause by another part of the console being fried from the power going out, where i live before we got solar like $100000 worth of batteries an panels, my power would surge alot and whenever it rained or just random the power would go out for the area, like in a billing cycle which is 3 months the bill would be 3500 - 4000 every time so that why got such an expensive solar system that and it has sixed the power going out every time ergon's lines stuff up. Apparently we use like 6 times more power than the average family lol, but if you knew the set up and why it's like that you would understand why. Still hope its a easy fix and all goes good for him if not well **** happens.
