To be able to install CFW you need a ps3 on 3.55 ofw or below

The only way to install cfw on a ps3 that has ofw higher than 3.55 is by flashing the ps3 with a E3 flasher, a teensy or a progskeet

You need to check that you ps3 can be downgraded, is it a fat or slim?
