it still works i just got gameshared escalation:carling:. maybe you gave your account to more than five people to gameshare

Yeah, gamesharing still works fine. Most likely you have already shared the content to the allowed 5 people.

Yes, it can't really be patched, because some people legitmately have multiple PS3's and need to use it. Plus that'd be BS if you could only download a DLC once.
