I need to know what else I need, so I can order it all at once. Instead of having to come back in a couple of days and order a dongle or something.

So, do I need a dongle of some sort for this? (To boot into service mode, because I can't find a list of things you need anywhere and E3DIY don't seem to be very helpful)

I have a Micro SD and an 8GB USB.

EDIT: Can I use the B&N Nook Tablet as a dongle?

You need 1)an eSATA station, 2)an eSATA cable from the station to E3 flasher panel, and 3)a way to enter PS3 service/factory mode (most dongles should work, Khalkedon used "PSJailbreak" dongle in his downgrade video).

You probably can use your tablet if it supports "PSGroove".

To be on the safe side and not waste time, buy and use a dongle.
