I have done this before but on 3.55. I just downloaded the 3.55 CFW and downloaded into my PS3, now that we are on 4.00 idk how to do it...

It wont allow you to downgrade unless you have an E3 Flasher.
Or you could just buy another ps3 on 3.55 or lower and data transfer.
