(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); my CFW ps3 was updated backed it up on OFW and went got another ps3 from a pawn shop on 3.55... sorry for the noob question but i was wondering if i did the data restore on my CFW ps3 would that do anything to it since i backed it up on OFW ?

Data such as save games should be restored. You DLC/PSN games will be restored too, but you need to reactivate them using reactpsn (follow this guide You must login or register to view this content. )

I think for the data restore to work you have to spoof your ps3 firmware to whatever firmware the OFW ps3 was at when it was backed up.
I have not personally tried this myself, but this should work to my understanding.

Im not quite following your post but if the data restore files are from a different PS it wont allow you to back it up. If its for the same PS the firmware wont change but you will recover saves, accounts, pkgs and DLC that will need to be reactivated as stated above but you it wont recover trophys.

not sure the order but transferring one way or the other the 3.55 ps3 on cfw needs to be spoofed to 4.00fw to allow it to data transfer
