I need to install 3.55 but every time it gets ready to install the screen says the firmware is 3.72. Is this normal? I thought what I had downloaded was the OFW 3.55, but maybe not. I used the link I found here on NGU. I know the FW is 3.55 because the screen before the one i described above say I must install a FW 3.55 or higher. I just don't want to ruin my system by installing 3.72. Can anyone point me to a copy of 3.55 that is for sure 3.55?

Are you sure that is the OFW 3.55? Would you know why the system says 3.72? Is it because it is telling me what it thinks the current FW is?

hmmm never heard that one before :s so you never had 3.72 and it said it on the black screen thing damn sony xD

Does anyone know if at the first screen, whether the read out is supposed to tell you what firmware is on the system or if it's telling you what firmware is about to be installed?

If anyone can post a link to OFW 3.55 that they have confirmed is OFW 3.55 then I should have no problem installing it please, thank you.
