(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I've been busy lately decrypting my ps3's HDD by following this tutorial : You must login or register to view this content. (On step 11) I'm having trouble finding the dummy sector in WinHex, because of the lack of detail in this tut.

It tells me "now compare the start off both images, you will notice that theres a pattern of hex on the first line off each sector,
scroll half way down MasterImage+Dummy_To_Decrypt file and you will notice that each sector starts with a different 16 bytes
(thats the 16 bytes for dummy. write it down you need it for next step)

Now, there are 2,671,312,384 bytes in my MasterImage+Dummy_To_Decrypt.

I also attempted using this tut aswell, but to no avail, this tut is also lacking detail in this single step im on.
You must login or register to view this content.

I scroll half way down MasterImage+Dummy_To_Decrypt and of course every sector begins with a different 16 bytes. Needle in a ****ing haystack.

How Do I Find The Dummy Sector?
