This isn't so much a question about exploiting or hacking, more about the tools in question. I want to buy an E3 Flasher and E3 card reader but have no idea where to start with the distributors. I live in the UK so either UK or Europe based would be best I'm also not too worried about the price.

So far I have found 3 websites but don't know if they are reliable or quick at shipping the product.

Its better to guy a 3.55 ps3 tbh better than the trouble with E3 flasher

^sunce is right, better to buy a new 3.55 ps3 than use e3 which has a high problem rate (not necessarily brick).

you can get lighttake or modchipcentral those are pretty good but they are NA. i dont know if that means anything but yea.

GL and read up on what you can and can't do before you mess around with the e3 on your ps3.

I know what i'm doing with the E3 flasher (used one before, just not mines) and it is easy enough for me to install. I don't mind ripping apart the PS3 haha. Just checked modchipcentral and it is cheaper from there, don't mind waiting a bit longer for delivery as seem to be a trusted distributor. $35 for overseas shipping doesn't bother me too much either as it is still cheaper overall than other sites. And in reply to sunce, i would rather have the E3 and dual boot my PS3 than having 2 PS3's again lol. Does anyone know if you can dual boot 3.55 CFW with the current/future OFW using 2 HDDs?

Yes i read somewhere that you can boot in different firmwares by switching HDD's. The E3 Flasher rewrites the data on a chip, which is only part of where the FW is stored. The rest is stored on the HDD By switching HDD's and flashing the other FW to the chip you can just swap the HDD out whenever you want to switch FW.

Also to answer the OP's question, i have found Modchipcentral.com to be the cheapest. E3 Card Reader only cost $8 there compared to $40 elsewhere. The E3 Flasher is cheaper there too, but i don't recall the difference being that much.

Just checked the price for E3 Flasher + P&P on modchipcentral.com and it comes to a total of around $124 (varies depending on shipping costs) which works out at current rates as £80. thanks guys for the 2 recommendations but i've heard some dodgy thinks about lightake.com, never used them myself but modchipcentral.com seems to be the best option i have right now as i haven't heard a bad word about them. I'll try get one ordered tomorrow but i'm trying to save the cash just now with the vita being released next month :$ you seen the price of the games for it yet?! :O
