Post: Online with Jailbreak?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so I know this is probably a noobish question but I must ask it.

If I decide to downgrade my ps3 to 3.55 is there away to still be able to play online using PSN without getting banned? Is that what a spoofer is for?

Once again, sorry for the noob question but I am a noob at this :p.

RainMaker.
Can’t trickshot me!
if you downgrade it to 3.55 you cannot log in using psn unless you were to upgrade it after you downgrade (waste of time). and a spoofer is used so that you can data transfer from a current fw ps3 e.g. 4.00 to a jb ps3. normally it requires you to update the jb system to the most current fw in order to data transfer back, but with a spoofer it tricks it into thinking its 4.00. this is how you may edit you profile comment and such. hope this helped!:p

Okay that makes more sense! Now one more question, apparently there is a new E3 Flasher out that allows you to dual boot into OFW or CFW whenever you want. Could you use this to boot into OFW and play online but then go to CFW when you want to do other things?

Don't know if you'll know the answer to that but it's worth a try. Happy

He hit most of the points, except with certain models of e3 flasher you can dual boot which means you can switch between 4.0 firmware and 3.55, im not really sure what the risk of banning on this is, also with e3 you must stick with their certain cfw, and if you try to update i think it bricks your console, unless you have the dual boot anyway. if you have any other questions i might know, or im sure elite rampage knows

Okay yeah, that kind of what I figured. So you have to stick with their cfw huh? Does their cfw include the ability to install pkgs?

yes, elite said it has everything, backups and such, im not sure with progskeet, but then again im sure the soldering wouldnt be easy for a beggining solderer, so you would maybe want to find someone you know thats good at it to do it for you, also with e3 you can only use it on 1 ps3, but with progskeet you could use it on more than 1.

Yeah, I'm debating whether to not just spend the extra money and get a ps3 that is already on 3.55. It would be MUCH less of a hassle! :p

ya it might be worth it, i got mine for 150, plus it came with a new controller, the only reason i would get e3 is so i could downgrade a slim, but if i was a good solder i would definately get progskeet, since you could downgrade multiple consoles, even start a business of doing it. But anyway ya id probly just get another ps3, cause if you dont have dual boot its would suck cause you couldnt even play onlines
