It won't upgrade your firmware, but, for future reference, If you want to Data Transfer from the jailbroken PS3 to the 4.00 PS3, you'll have to use a Firmware Spoofer, like this one.

srry about that i figured it out i had to put a ethernet cable to my ps3 then update my games now i can use comgenies awesome file manager to hack. one more question, i picked my patch and everything and deleted default.mp self or watevr its called then data transfered and i still cant host modded lobbys on any game. cod4,5 and 6.could u help me on that?
