yea that's what i'm using a mod chip.

what firmware the ps3 currently on? 3.55 or lower is needed if you enter service mode on 3.56 or higher you'll be stuck in service mode unless you have a hardware flasher e3/progskeet/etc

I hope you know you can't downgrade 4.00 FW using that device..

can you tell me were to get a jail break dongle from cheers

what is a mod chip were would i get one from please

most are gone or shut down , but they only do it for some fw , i would go for e3 flasher , bc its can do 4.00

4.00 and yea I have an E3 flasher. I couldn't get it work anyway the PS Jailbreak dongle. I'm waiting on E3 card reader to come. I'ma try with that.

That dongle is a clone of the PS Jailbreak, Im not sure if that will work.

oh, well then don't you just plug it in to your usb port, then turn your ps3 on followed by pressing the eject button?
