I was able to back up the current system. I got the the point where you use the jailbreak dongle to downgrade. Somewhere near there, not sure what happened...
Everytime I boot now, It states that the drive is corrupt, and I need to update the firmware to 3.66 or higher. I downloaded the OFW 3.66 to do so. It almost finishes the update, then errors that the FW is corrupt. I also tried the OFW 4.0 from Sony's site, but had the same response... Using a 16 gig USB flash drive btw.
Any ideas? I know there's an option with the E3 to solder to the motherboard, but if there's a way around that, I'd prefer not to.
