happened to me about 30 min ago. Keep trying it worked for me after about 2 tries but i got the same error. Unplug everything then plug in ethernet the plug in power cords and turn or both systems

not entirely sure what the problem is but try different Ethernet Cords. Crossover ethernet cords could be possible to ruin your transfer.

when you do the data transfer
1 make sure internet is disable in settings
2 turn on the 2 ps3
3 make sure cable is plugged in
4 start the transfer on 1
then set the other to receive data

should work fine however sometimes you got to try it twice ..it will work
