I bought a ps3 on 2.3* firmware and updated it to 3.55 to jailbreak it and I first installed Geohotz cfw and it worked I installed .pkgs but when I tried to use the apps, it started and stayed on a black screen and I left it there but nothing happened, so I had to turn it off. I also tried using lvl 2 patcher and that didn't do anything. I later tried kmeaws cfw and the same thing happened plz help.

Check to make sure your ps3 is compatible with the CFW you're using. Even though I'm sure geohot's works on any model but, oh well. How old is the ps3? D=

reinstall 3.55 ofw the go straight to kmeaw or rebug
