kmeaw 3.55 does everything you need from a cfw , it supports ftp and backups. When everyone was on 3.55 , i used kmeaw and i can say it was brilliant.
if possible try to stay clear of waninkoko's as it bricked some ps3's.

second post fail as kmeaw came after waninkoko and fixed the peek and poke patching to allow backups to run and 3.41 and 3.55 there really is no difference between the two and its a custom firmware not a jailbreak unless your still using a device to jb 3.41
