Post: extracting hdd data from broken ps3 rlod??

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); my ps3 died and the hdd contained loads of stuff (3.55)
im after gamesaves from it and need to extract them is there anyway to do this??
please help

Just take your HDD out of the console. Its just an external HDD that is inside of your PS3. You
can simply take it out and then put it into a new console if you get one.

Not if he wants the data from it you have to reformat your hdd unless you go through all the linux stuff with renaming the hdd id to the new original name of the hard drive. Other wise the reformat will lose his data he is after I recomend a cloning program its how I back up my ps3 hard drives after maybe a month of gaming. Works great. Unless you mean connecting it via usb to the new ps3 as an external then yeah that'll work still not as safe as a backup though.... :/
