Can't i just put a cfw on a USB instead?

I really dont know what im doing besides how to put it together, putting it together will be easy, just the doing the downgrade will be the hard part for me.

you dont need a dongle, just something to put ps3 in recovery mode can be a rooted android phone or i used my psp.....lol got mine recently too just managed to set it up and get woking, but there are all kinds of devices just need something to put in recovery mode.....and remember google is your friend. if you need help with downgrade you can pm me thats the part i didnt have trouble with

i got a rooted android phone, happens to be the HTC HD2, but it has been acting up cause i dropped it recently,drop connections from wifi, service and data constantly happening. but besides that point, would any card reader work, like if i simply just went to walmart n bought a microsd card reader, cause it appears that a microsd card is needed, i look around and the E3 Card Reader is pretty much the same thing, i thought n did research, some kid went to walmart n bought a basic high speed card reader that was compatible. Ill try your rought n once i get set up ill prolly need help with the downgrade idk, i usually am pretty good with understanding tech really good, installing it prolly will be the easiest thing for me. but thanks, i did do some google n i would type "Alternatives to E3 Card Reader", but i still ask here cause i trust this site better.
