A lot of people use Ebay to sell them. Some members on the site (here on NGU) even use the general auctions sections.
And the price all depends on the model and size of the hard drive usually.

I know someone on eBay who has a 3.41 ofw ps3 from that you can easily jb , if you want I'll get in touch and see if he still has it if you want

I bought a ps3 3.55 on Ebay 10 days ago, for 135€ = 168$
You can find a new ps3 for 200-300€, or used for 100-200€
