(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); okay so im about to downgrade my ps3 using E3 flasher, but before i pay good money for all this... is it even worth downgrading? i mean what can you do on 3.55cfw now a days? and can you get on psn as well?

I wouldn't bother with the E3 flasher hassle for a start, if your wanting 3.55 cfw, for safety I would just by another cheap ps3 on that firmware, but that's my opinion. And yes you can go online with the rebug I believe. Theres a whole list of possibilities with what you can do with CFW also, but its only up to you, and whether you find all the stuff like that handy or useful.

Backups, PSN, Other OS, Emulators... The list is quite long. Having CFW is one of the most useful things to have.

You should buy another PS3, the E3 Flasher is definitely not worth the hassle, I spent hours fiddling with it and cleaning it and it didn't work; 2 months later I decided I would scrape the metal prongs inside the clip to make sure they were all making contact and it worked.
Being able to downgrade is good though in case a family member/friend updates it to a higher firmware by accident. If you have to do anything, buy a Progskeet, it's a lot better.
