(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Is it possible to go back to firmware 3.55 if I just return the PS3 I have now using my warranty, get a new one, and install a CFW 3.55 to jailbreak it?

The only way to go back to 3.55 is to downgrade. If you use warranty most likely it will be higher then 3.55.

if your ps3 was on firmware 3.55 you can downgrade using E3 Flasher
