I have been really interested in getting back into the hacking scene of the PS3.
I've done the CFW back then that was released by GeoHot but I updated my PS3 since my little brother was frustrated of not playing online and that was all one year ago I believe.Our PS3 no longer worked because I reformatted the PS3 you know full reformat?I canceled it at 0% than the PS3 restarted and gave me the hard drive corrupted and it said to insert storage media with the updates 3.56 or Later.So I did do everything on a hard drive PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.pup and even put it as you know FAT.
I inserted the flash drive and it was checking for the 3.56 OFW and every time it tells me the update is corrupted.EVERY TIME I've tried on several different flash drives and no luck.Even sent it to a local repair store called ATL Tech Force or All Tech Force (forgot what it's called) and it's been there for a month while I was away for vacation hoping to return to get on the PS3 but a call was made a month later saying they cannot fix it.
All hope was lost for me.So I just bought a new PS3 Slim 111 GB (Wierd ain't it?) that currently runs 4.21 OFW.
and I am looking to buy a already jailbroken PS3 running 3.55 for a good price.I've heard of the E3 Flasher Downgrader but I do not want to risk losing my new PS3.
So anyone got any tips where to look or have one they're currently selling?
