I would like to data transfer from my OFW 4.21 PS3 to my CFW 3.55 Kmeaw so I can FTP some copy protected saves. Is it true the destination PS3 must be on the same, or higher firmware? If this is the case do I have to put a spoofer on my CFW to trick it into accepting the data transfer? Which is the safest to use? I was looking at the 9.99 spoofer but all the download links are dead. I was also looking at the PS3 Spoofer Tools v5.5 but yet again, the download links are dead for Kmeaw.
Can anyone please just give me a little advice on what the best way to do this is, and where I can find a safe download of the proper tools I need?
Thanks VERY MUCH in advance.
Yes it is true that the destination PS3 must be on the same or higher firmware. That's why spoofers are so handy. A spoofer tricks your PS3 into thinking it has a higher firmware, thus you can data transfer from a high OFW PS3 to a spoofer CFW PS3.
I personally wouldn't use this 9.99 spoofer for two reasons:
1. You have to enable and disable every time you want to transfer back and forth, with increases your risk of bad shit happening.
2. There is a updated tool to this that is both safer and doesn't require #1.
Here is a link to what I use:
You must login or register to view this content.
It is made by the same person (that made the 9.99 spoofer) and works great AS A SPOOFER. And I would recommend the one without ReAct PSN in it if you are using it for data transferring purposes.
With his newest update, he has added a restore process just in case anything does go wrong. So in terms, this one is safer.
And as long as your OFW PS3 is on 4.21, you can leave the spoofer on so you can transfer back and forth.
I posted a thread about it here at NGU, but it was quickly deleted because the online spoof functionality doesn't work any more. Which in my opinion was quite a sad mistake by the staff as it STILL WORKS AS A SPOOFER and can still benefit the community.
Good luck, hope all goes well
