I have a 4.21 PS3 and I would like to downgrade it. The problem is that the only actual way to do it is with E3 Flasher, and i'm afraid of bricking my console (I'm a noob installing things). I have 300 bucks right now to spend on videogames, but i was planning on spending them on the new games that are coming soon (Assassin's Creed 3, The Last of Us, Fifa 13...). So should I buy an E3 Flasher or buy a new PS3? Thanks!

It won't brick your PS3, it'll just take you a while to install it; at least there's no soldering! The worst that happened to me was a RLOD, in which case I took my PS3 apart again and made sure everything was in tightly and it worked.

Get the flasher man, I'm 15 and I have never worked with anything like that before, (I did Technology and Design in school for a couple of years but that's it; stripping wires and a bit of circuit board soldering etc.) and all you need to do with the PS3 is use a screw driver and be extra careful.

Buy a new 3.55- PS3 however (depending on what currency that $300 is in) you might not have enough money. But if you get a 3.55- PS3 you can pirate those games and get them for free.
