Is the way to downgrade depends on your PS3 as to what E3 flasher.

I have the fat 80gb what flasher would I use? And does this erase my hdd?

yes u can do it but u need Necessary stuff

1- E3 flasher
2- usb jailbreak


then u have to install the e3 flasher in the chip of nor ( required technical if you're do it )

this is difficult part for downgrade it's related to hardware

second part it's easy because it's related to software which anyone i think can do it

just copy and paste files

Get the limited as it has almost everything you need. The only other things you will need is a E3 Card Reader or another downgrade dongle, flash drive, Micro SD Card and a SD card reader. And no, it will not erase your HDD.
