(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright, so im on 4.23 kiosk firmware and i have no patches because of formatting my harddrive thinking it would fix my ps3, i cant download patches because the FW has a patchblocker so im abit fucked, but what im confused about is, some people say there are ways of making reverters and some say its completely hopeless so i dont know what to do? beg for a new or wait for an official sony update because i dont know if a ofw will fix this? some say it will, some say it wont but i wanna hear it from someone on hear because they know what theyre talking about. so basically the question is, will a official sony firmware update fix my ps3 or not?

can you not data transfer from a retail ps3 to your kiosk one? im not sure as i know that you cant with DEX but you may be able to with SEX

nope, i dont have the data transfer option on myne anymore , does that matter? do i need to select data transfer on both ps3's? but i was also thinking, i could tell me mate to put in his external harddrive, use backup utility and save all his stuff onto it, and then put the harddrive into my ps3 and use the restore option, would this give me even his game patches? or just save data etc

kiosk FW is pointless won't allow you to run any unsigned code or packages. Won't even allow you to install packages...
Only thing you can is wait for another FW or downgrade to get off kiosk.
