Post: Repairing a PS3 with a USB fault

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys,

So basically i bought a 3.55 ps3 that was advertised as having kmeaw installed but had a faulty bluray that could be fixed with remarrying the bluray drive. So i went through the remarrying process but the ps3 will not read the USB whatsoever. So i cant fix the drive or even back out of FSM due to Lv2Diag.self not being able to execute. My question, to anyone more experienced than me in this out there (quite alot of you) how can this be fixed if so at all? any answers would be helpful unless your going to be an arse. Ive spent all day on google so if you are going to post a lmgtfy link or imgtfy dont bother. cheers.

Try reinstalling the firmwares and be sure you install the BDEmu aswell. If your familiar with opening up your PS3 then it wouldnt hurt to recheck the ribbon cable and socket attatched to your bluray drive as it can also deceptively be the cause of it. Another option is to dissasemble your bluray drive and give your lens a blowout, or check what version the consoles on and get a replacement lens KEM400/410 etc

Thanks for the info, if the BDEmu thing wont work ill just look into buying a new bluray drive

Anyone have any solutions? I was thinking of using Jaicrabs patched Lv2Diag.self but i cant seem to get a working step 2 Lv2Diag, either that or im missing some form of folder structure that stops the files being executed..any help please Smile
