i have a 3.55 ps3 on kmeaw, it lacks a blu ray drive (cool huh?) but no seriously, anyway im pretty certain that is the cause of my problem, i try to use the modded lv2diag.self file but it never gets executed which i assumed was caused by the lack of bd, anyways around this to get out of FSM apart from the obvious which is to buy a bd drive (that would be a last resort because i cant be bothered to go around looking to buy one) thanks for any help

So are you stuck in fsm. Or are you trying to remarry without a drive in, to trick ps3 into thinking it has a blu ray and then being able to use homebrew?

Well i was only planning on using it for homebrew anyway, so i want to trick the ps3, but im stuck in FSM aswell, so im not exactly sure what could be done.

After you download their should be a file called FactoryServiceMode_Lv2diag.self
And rename it to Lv2diag.self with capital L.
And put it into a blank usb and do the steps to get out.

Nothing happens bro im just stuck in FSM :S its like the ps3 doesnt execute the file or even read the usb at all.

Is that the only thing in you usb?
And are you doing it right like this.
First you put the Lv2diag.self in a blank usb unplug ps3 or push switch in the back of ps3 if its a phat version
To stop the power and then plug in usb and then power on the ps3?
