People are telling me that there are no patches for 3.41, and im just wasting my money because all of the recent patches are on 3.55. is there really any difference between the two firmwares? i want to get my moneys worth out of it. Patches for what? Call of Duty games? If so, it doesn't matter what firmware you're on, you can put patches on your jb and transfer them to your OFW. Also, if you don't like 3.41, you can always update to 3.55 OFW and put on a cfw afterwards.

alright, thanks man. im new to the jb system. i know how to data transfer and put patches on the jb ps3, but i was afraid that the firmware mattered.

Like above guy said, you can easy update that ur ps3 3.41 to 3.55 and then install what cfw u ever want
