(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm thinking about getting a 3.55 PS3 of Ebay or something and want to know if it actually is still possible to get online with it and is it worth getting it in general? any thoughts?

cheers

It's for sure worth getting. The was a way to get online with F**KPSN but from what I've read it has been patched or no longer works, not for sure on that but yeah if you find one for a decent price I would jump on it.

Think twice about getting it from ebay , their alot of scammers . Have you tried craigslist ? but in general yeah i can say its worth getting , you can back up games , mod games, and do a whole lot more . and as of right now F*ck Psn ( The way to get 3.55 ps3's online ) is patch so as of right now i don't think you can get psn access but in the future you might , you'll just have to start data transfering depending what you're trying to do but . yes i advise you to get a slim . it's a little more pricey but it worth it . you can't get ylod .

I think it's a good buy. I got mine from eBay, and i do a lot with it. If you buy from eBay, make sure they have legit pictures!!

I too purchased mine from ebay, it was a top seller and the facts lined up well, just be careful and make sure you know what your are buying. as for f-psn, there may be another way in the future to get online, but for now there is still SO MUCH you can do with it being "offline".

Yes it's definitely worth it. Or buy a hardware flasher for your current console so you can downgrade and update whenever you want to! Much better IMO. Also I hear you can still get online with rebug. Not sure as I have a flasher

I personally think you should buy the E3 flasher as you can upgrade to the lastest update and downgrade to the oldest update just by switching a hard drive. (Dualbooting)

Ohh no :FU: I am done with this e3 bullshit and I'd strongly recommend you to get an 3.55 ps3 instead!
Well, I bought a clone and sat there for 2 weeks re-opening my ps3 8-9 times after actually realizing it was a clone as the e3 team posted it on their website that day.
I bought a 3.55 ps3 instead and yes, it's definitly worth the buy. You'll have so much fun with it as you can almost do everything on it :y:
I would not buy from a unknown seller from ebay, just saying you should be careful.
I got mine of "Finn.no" which is a norwegian site just like ebay, but you can freeze the payment until you get what you bought, and if the buyer lied to you and you got legit proof you'll keep the money and the ware you bought :carling: I e-mailed every damn guy that sold ps3's there :fa: But it was worth it as I found 4 3.55 ps3's. The cheapest one was from a guy that won the ps3 in a lottery in 2011 and he didn't like consoles/gaming at all so I got it for 170$ with 2 ps3 controllers, 3 games :fyea: It was 320gb so it was a really good buy.
Lol I kind of got a little bit off-topic here, but same shit Happy Good luck finding a 3.55 ps3 though! Smile

No, you can't switch firmwares by changing hdd /facepalm
I don't care if you found a legit site. It's still a hell of a job to get the clip sitting tight and make a good connection with all the 56 pins, you might have to open your ps3 tons of times just to make the clip sit alright :L It may also cause trouble in the future if the clip ever gets a bad connection again.
