I don't even know where to start currently my ps3 is on 4.25 do I need a 3.55 ps3 or would something under 3.55 be good as well? Please if you can help me give me your psn name. Yes you do need to have a jail broken ps3 or find someone to do a hamachi transfer, a ps3 under 3.55 would be great, I don't host mw2 lobbies since I sold the game, and I know your new but next time please post in the question section and not in the general ps3 hacks and exploits section.

You do need a ps3 on 3.55 or lower. Also helps to have another ps3 on 4.25 to get online with. look up a guide for jailbreaking and data transfer. For mod menu, I recommend Red Dot City V6.7 or Lightmodz Blckrain v9.25. Just look them up on google or something.

thanks again and one more thing, once I choose a menu if I don't like it can I switch it? because I've also heard of one called Obamasu and Unboundusers & I don't know out of all which has the best features and works better, Im planing on using a 3.02 it's not above 3.55 though

what i do is make several versions then back up each one as a separate ps3. i think i have 7 saved at the moment. you have to go into the patch you are using (1.11 is the best) and edit the patch.mp.self i think it is (not sure of the exact file), and put the edited one in place of it. data transfer that one and save it. do it again. i dont know if it is different with a lower firmware. there are a lot of guides for it out there.

Yeeah Im looking up some guides it seems pretty simple but so far all I've seen is how to edit in simple hacks to a Patch_mp.ff file by one not by a menu I checked out that menu you mention called "lightmodz backrain v9.25" and it seems really awesome but a guy on youtube said you had to be an elite member of this site to get it, right now I have some files my friend put on a flash drive for me called: but I dont know how to get them to work.

1. no need for elite just search for the download.
2. you dont edit the patch_mp.self unless you want to customize the menu. just replace the one on the ps3 with the modded one.
3. no idea what those files are... sorry
4. download a 1.11 mw2 patch, install on jb ps3, use an ftp server and replace the old patch_mp.self with the modded one. data transfer to the updated ps3. go online and have fun lol. i may have missed some steps. i havent done it in a wile. but that is the basics.

ya thats good. now look up where you need to go in the ps3 to find the patch_mp.self. make sure you have the mw2 patch installed. once you replace it and data transfer, make sure you connect using a proxy server so it doesnt force you to update when you start up mw2
