The disk tray is broken so I have never put in MW2 but I want to load a patch. How do i get the game file, I thinks its BLUS(something), on the the PS3 so i can transfer the patch file? I want to data transfer to my slim running the latest OFW.

The FTP also doesn't work for some reason. It says it cant find the server. I have tried all of the FTP server clients.

there is a software which lets you download patch pkg on computer no need for psn google it and download

you have to look at your mw2 disc code then remember it and try to get the 1.13 update download for mw2 off the internet or ask someone for it in another post, it should be the mw2 1.13 update.pkg and you should be able to install it by install package files, then look up on youtube "how to install an mw2 patch with comgenies" and do what they do then data transfer to your slim ps3 and put your disc in, if you did it all correctly it will work perfectly and the patch will be installed

So that's what I did and I got the .pkg file but now it won't data tansfter. It says that the Ethernet cable is not connected or thes3 is not turned on. And sometimes it will say that I need to update but I have the 9.99 spoofer.

My friend had this problem he said he fixed it by,

There are other methods like crossover cables instead of internet cables hope i helped

how to data transfer? easy i had this problem the first few times myself try this:
Step 1: turn off both ps3s at the light and then the switch and plug the ethernet cable in properly.
Step 2: turn them back on and put your 4.25 ps3 to the screen where it says "transfer data from the other ps3 to this one" and hover over that.
Step 3 now switch to ur 3.55 cfw and go to data transfer and go to "transfer data from this ps3 to another" and keep on going till it says "waiting for data transfer" on your 3.55.
Step 4: now as soon as you see the screen on your 3.55 saying "waiting to transfer data" press x on the controller connected to your 4.25 ps3 and then the data transfer should start in about 30 seconds, after pressing x switch to your 4.25 screen because it will come up saying you need to format it, let me know if this worked

When i did this, the patch for MW2 did not go on the OFW PS3, but the data transfer worked.

tell me exactly how you installed the patch to the 3.55, you probably didnt install it properly

heres a tutorial i made myself just for you,
Step 1: plug in the usb that has the mw2 patch_mp.ff on it & open comgenies
Step 2: on the left side go down to hdd0 directory
Step 3: go to the game directory
Step 4: look at your mw2 disc and check the BLUS/Bles code on it and then go to the same one on your screen.
Step 5: go in the USRDIR file and delete the default_mp.self file
Step 6: go on the patch_mp.ff file now go to the right side and copy the patch from your usb over the patch_mp.ff on the right and then try again, tell me if you notice anything you did wrong last time compared to this
