(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); might be a dumb question but here it goes... (searched BTW) :boss:

IF i get a laptop HDD (i believe thats what these ps3's run on) would i be able to waste my time and find someone with a 3.55 FW. and then go and reformat the HDD with the 3.51 when i plug it into my ps3? has anyone thought of this or tried of doing this? i do know the HDD restarts (atleast for computers) when u unplug and plug in due to encryption. anyone tried of doing this at all?

Not possible. Plenty of threads, search option sucks sometimes but hey. It's not stored on your HDD, it's stored on the Nand or NOR from what I understand

jailbreak aren't on hdd. the firmware is on nor or nand like the other guy said. so u could try downgrading but it thakes shit load of time and if u hurry things u will screw up and brick your ps3 and can't recover from it
