I found a used PS3 Fat 80GB on 3.55 firmware on eBay for $250! Do you think it's worth it? I'm thinking of getting it but the only things that's pulling me back is if it'll get YLOD!

No not really. Phatys only last about 6-7 years. Since they are so old they wont last very long. Mine didnt even last 6 months... But if you do end up purchasing a slim you will play on it for a Couple months or so then After a bit you'll start with RLOD then YLOD. Those are a**holes. Your better off looking for a Slim 160 GB.. But slims can get a YLOD aswell, but it would take a while unless your on your PS3 24/7 . I actually recently purchased a 3.55 Slim made in 2010 with 160 GB for $260. Would of got it for $250 but California's State tax
