But using an exploit feature from my Xbox I can tell there will be a hotswap of somesort . My proof is you can run a backed up game wihout a disc and it won't be hard to put a game in this and take the lid off and put a custom blue-ray of a modified game and get it to boot it . That's my theory since ps3 games are not ISO etc like Xbox are .I hope someone can test this or say if the theory is correct because the ps3 will search for the codes needed and all you need to do is make it think it has the lid on it . Please let me know . And I wasnt sure what forum this fits in

what are you talking about? your are talking about ps3's, xbox's, backing up games, and runnings games off a disc from a different bluray player. can you make it a little more clear?

Oh god my grammar . Sorry its late here . Basicly the new ps3 super-slim has the blue-ray tray o. The top and it has a sensor that triggers when a game is in it . Well if you have a cfw ps3 you will know that back ups of games are just files and folders . No ISO etc . So if you have a blu-ray burner then can't you Download the game of the internet and modify the eboot.bin and patches and then burn that modified game onto a blu-ray . The. Put the real copy in and hotswap . That's why I referd to Xbox as this was a method on there . Only diffrence is on the ps3 you dont install the game and can run a hacked game without a jb or cfw?

well im not 100% sure as im a hoster and i dont mess with modify the consoles and files i just put what i know in the update folder . but maybe at some point they may need to be . but even so as a theory wouldnt this work? i say this new ps3 super-slim and knew what i could do with it but i have alot of ps3s and am not prepared to buy this ugly new console to find out .im sorry if i am incorrect but im near 100% that you can hotswap this new ps3 like you can on xbox , and if you do need to resign the saves , so be it , but this could be a big loop-hole `in the new slim , if you can pirate/ run a backed up game of a blu-ray then all you need to do is modify the game files as i know mw3 is like this BLES00xxxx/game then you have your eboot.bin and usdir files . if your with me so far you can find the files needed to host and simply swap them . spoof the game update to 9.9 which most mw3 patches are then you can host without a jailbreak or cfw . just taking the lid of the new ps3

You're saying make the "custom" game on the pc, burn to disc, start ps3 with real game, let load, lift lid and replace?

If so, well it loaded the real non custom game to begin with. Secondly, the blu-ray doesn't play back-ups. If so, we would of been doing the same thing with our PS2s and fats just with the case off, dropping a game in there, then the magnet on top of it.

you drop the real game in so it loads it on the xmb . swap that with the custom one .prodiving you put the files incorrect it wont know any diffrence , and i know this because when you back up a game in multiman u get ur PS3_GAME ps3_UPDATE and another folder which i forgot , i have a blu-ray burner and i think it will work ,

I'm pretty sure that the eboots of ripped games are modified so that they look like 'apps'. Hell even some games off psn store are signed as 'apps'. We can use this theory, to play pirated games by signing it as a 'app' and not an iso, or disk/blu ray image. Therefore, there is no need of using blu ray disks. This theory should also work on the new ps3s.
