I have a big problem! Yesterday i tried to install Kmeaw CFW but it always stuck at 56% :O
When i try to get into the Recovery Menu,always the Update is shown up again and again.
Its an Update loop. I cant do anything at the Moment.
Plz anyone help me,I dont know what to do

hey there trollimodz , i had this issue and the issue is that your hdd is corrupt . it normal freezes at 56% or 99% you will need a new hdd , a free opion is if you have a old xbox 360 to pull the hdd out of that . hope this helped

if u can access the REcovery try to restore file system, if it doesnt start i think u are in mid brick, i have had your same trouble and i have flashed my NOR with e3... your console before brick which fw has?

I'm assuming you had to power off when the update was stuck at 56%, powering off during an update will uasually always lead to a brick, try the recovery menu and restore file system ect. Or get a clean 3.55 update and go from there!

dont need a new hdd lol theres a way to get threw it and out of it

1: Open the side of your PS3 where your HDD is
2: Take the screw out, but leave the HDD in
3: When the update begins, pull your HDD out of the slot
4: It will tell you an error occured and it tells you to restart your system and try again
5: Instead, let the count from 60 run out, your screen will go blank for about 30 seconds then it will start back up and tell you that your Hard Drive needs to be reformatted.
6: If you do not get this msg after 30 seconds, do it again until it does! Now, slide your HDD into place again -(make sure your controller is PLUGGED IN) and press the white PS3 button on the controller
7: It will then ask you to either press start and select at same time OR white PS3 Button - PRESS START and SELECT.
8: Do not agree to user agreements!! Simply hit cancel and it will kick back to the PS3 start up screen.

Another option would be to push it into factory service mode with a jig (there are several jigs out there e.g. TI-84 calculator) then use the correct lv2diag.self along with a 3.55 OFW pup. Put both files in the root of your USB drive. To verify that its in FS mode when you press power eject, it will turn on then back off. Turn it back on with no USB drive and it should turn back off because it can't find the lv2diag.self. Put in your USB drive and press power. You should see some HDD and USB action then the system will shut down when complete. Turn it back on to verify that it installed correctly with FS mode still on. There is a second lv2diag.self that will get you out of FS mode. Hope this helps out. I'll look around for some links to get you pointed right direction after lunch.


P.S. Make damn sure that this system is at or below 3.55 or you will be stuck in FS mode forever.

and i forgot to say,that i cant get into the Recovery Mode,It shows up the Update again and again.

Here is a link to the lv2diag.self files 1 & 2. Use file 1 with your pup to install your firmware and use file 2 to get out of FS mode when completed.
