However, I researched and I found out that you can't go online with a CFW PS3 so I was thinking about buying either a CFW PS3 online which is expensive and could be broken or I could buy a old OFW PS3 and convert it CFW....seems like 3.55 CFW is best. So my question is what should I do? Buy a old PS3 from gamestop and do it myself? The main reasons I want a CFW PS3 is to play burnt games, hack trophies (im currently using Xploder), and give PS3 more options. Also what else would I need? So hopefully someone can answer these questions and point me in the right direction because I am unsure what to do...thanks!

You are able to go online on CFW now....just some pkg files you download and your set

Doesn't it have to be the same firmware...for example 3.55 cfw and 3.55 ofw. Also can you answer any of my other questions...I think 2 ps3's is the way to go for the trophies idk if it can be done with just 1 ps3. Have one cfw ps3 and other ofw ps3.

What you do is install a pkg file on the cfw ps3(i use kmeaw) called sen enabler/disabler(i think its called, its in the forums for download) then once its install you hit yes and yes to it then it makes it look like your on the latest update(4.31) to play online/mod or whatever you want. Then to go back onto 3.55 just go back to the pkg and hit yes then no(disables the "spoofer") and your all set

Figured it had to be 3.55 OFW or lower.....hopefully I can buy one at gamestop

If your interested i plan on selling my ps3, its on 3.55 rebug right now(can put on any cfw you want or if you want ofw) only thing is the laser needs replaced(30 bucks) cause sometimes it reads games other times it wont but you can still install pkg's and everything, even you could just download the full game and put it on the ps3 and play that way

Yeah im interested...how much? Can you install a cfw that can hack trophies like this for example also so I can sync to psn, play downloaded games, and ability to transfer to my ofw ps3/computer thks!
