Post: What version do the playstations come with nowadays?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I was thinking of picking up a new playstation tomorrow, and was curious on what firmware comes packaged when you buy the consoles, I know they used to sell them with just the original firmware but considering the CFW releases for the console they may sell them on a higher firmware?

They've been past the minimum firmware require to hack for a long while now. The newest models, the superslim, is well into the 4.00 range. More about it here. You must login or register to view this content.

They normally come with the newest firmware, but if your lucky you might get one like 2-3 updates behind and if its a old phat you might get a 3.66+ but it is highly unlikely to get a 3.55
