Since it is 3.56 I can just put the .PUP on a FlashDrive and try to copy the file. It doesn't give any errors. Just won't read the 3.55 OFW.

BUT. It will read GeoHot's 3.55-jb CFW

Anyway to downgrade 3.56 to 3.55?

What do yo mean by read? Does the ps3 see the 3.55 ofw ?
The 3.55-jb also 4.30 can see but give an error on 99%

It will not work you need a flasher.

You can't go from anything higher than than the firmware your on without one so don't ask the same questions as everyone else and just get a flasher lol.

Just because a PS3 can read an update does not mean it will take look try with the first ps3 update and what do you get? Yes it reads it but fails everytime. Does this not give a hint that it will not work.

I mean there are very talented devs around the scene if this worked don't you think they would no???

3.56+ OFW (NEED A FLASHER TO GET TO 3.55)

4.21/4.31/4.31 CFW (CANNOT BE INSTALLED WITHOUT A FLASHER AND BEING ON 3.55. FIRST!)
