so my ps3 was working fine after i messed up the power and eject ribbon (still awaiting new part).. i installed the dual boot update on the e3 flasher then bios didnt work.. so opened it all over and messed up the eject and power cable.. havnt touched it after that.

okay so it worked fine now it turns on and shuts off in 3 secs after trying to cut on idk why .. i apllyed new thermo to it .. idk if i applied right but i tryed my best lol... still same.. so idk anything about it

any help guys??


Also iv checked other places fourms etc .. i cant seem to find a right anwser.. now power supply is brand new from a newer ps3. .. so im stuck

please any help guys?? lol sorry for the long paragraphs of info but i tryed getting it described well for better help




Update: so it was the heatsink and chip. my bro who is a computer tech guy.. we applied new thermo put 4 penny on the chip and thermo on the heat sink therefore it made better contact.. ps3 turns on fine and works perfect

thanks.. but not really it started to shut off again but i realize i think it was the flasher cuz without it it turns on fine.. im ordering a new clip becuase it says cnt read bois and i tryed several times opening it and fixing it.. hint why it messed up still failed to backup bois.... do you know why might the ps3 turn on and shut off when i have the e3 flasher installed? becuase seems like that was the isssue all this time not the thermopaste

I had similar bad luck, except when during the down time I tried to save the ps3 data and ended up ruining my saves. Long story short I should have waited till the guy fixed the ps3. Even though after he got it running it still only lasted a week.
