(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I used to be up to date with all this and understood it completely but just after 3.60 was released I sold my PS3 and moved to Xbox (big regret :p) now I'm looking to return to the PS3 scene and would love to get back into CFW. I've just got a few questions before I buy another PS3 and I know you probably get these a lot but I would really appreciate some help!

So basically whats new? I'm seeing 4.20 and 4.30 CFWs but I don't understand, are they proper jailbreaks because they still mention 3.55? Do I still need a 3.55 console to get onto a CFW? Is it possible/easy to downgrade any FWs to 3.55 (slim or fat)? Is it possible to go on PSN again like it was back in the good old days? How do I go about setting it up when I first get it? Do people still use multiman or is there heaps of new homebrew? And finally, what is this "PS3 Final Hack" thing I've been reading?

k, yes for 4.xx CFW u need a CFW and the only way to downgrade are with e3 flashers it usally cost $40-50 i still use multiman and idk about Final hack thing ill look into it n inform you if u dont mind it would ne nice if u +rep me if this helped And Welcome Back to the scene

Thanks for that mate! Anyone got any other answers? Also if I just went to my local eb games and bought a new PS3 slim 120gb I'm guessing it would be over 3.55 but is there any way to know if it will be compatible with an e3 flasher?

Better of looking in pawn shops and asking to see the console working first, 120gb slim and 320gb new are generally under 3.60, you need 3.55 to start with, my 120gb slim was on 2.70 when I got it, good luck, or just pay for someone to downgrade it, make sure its not a 3k or 4k model.
