(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so I have had this system since launch and several years ago it lost USB functionality. I sent it to sony for repairs out of my own pocket. Got it back and usbs are great. Several months down the road and it starts running hot and locking up, after reading up on everything it looked like it was on the road to YLOD so i shelved it until i could find a solution to prevent it.
Got a replacement stock heatsink, 18 blade fan and, lower wattage PSU as well as ArticSilver5 CPU gel... turned it back on couple weeks ago and it doesnt lock up now, instead it warns me that it is hot and i should turn it off.
So... my question is this, should i track down an entirely new CHECHA01 with 3.55 or lower (so as to skip the progskeet steps) or should i liquid cool this system and find a progskeet with NOR solderless kit?
OOOR should i forget about the whole BC thing (really really dont want too Not Happy or Sad) in hopes that CFW will allow me to play PS2 discs on any system....
any thoughts or tips?

Buy a new 1. You can just get a ps2 emulator on your pc and play on that. It's not worth the money trying to repair. Or just buy ps2 they're like 11$
