I recently got my e3 flasher and installed it onto my slim 120gb (cech-2002a). When i turn on the e3 flasher no blue lights come on in the progress bar indicatpr and there is only a red light

I have not plugged in my esata dock yet. Would that possibly be the reason why the tf board keeps giving me a red light or do i need to open my ps3 again and play around with the clip?

Make sure the e3 clip is installed securely on the PS3's motherboard a good tip I used was to stick 3 pennies on top of the clip and tape them there to keep it in place. If all is well make sure the tf coverboard is making good connection with the E3 Flasher. Please confirm those things and reply.

i know that i have to play with the clip again but
1) i tried doing updating the e3 flasher by plugging it into a pc and copying the update.bin over. The thing is after i copy it over the blue light magically turns on but after i reset the ps3 it goes back to being red.
2) The tf board and the mainboard is making good connection with the e3 flasher as i have reconnected both parts multiple times

ive had this exact problem before :|, can ask where you bought your e3 flasher from? i bought from some chinese seller on the net and was sold a fake and it had the very problem you are describing have you actually checked the pcb line with the one on You must login or register to view this content.

i got my e3 flasher from fyygame which is a advertiser listed on the site of ps3crunch as selling the e3 nor flasher? I assume that they wouldnt list fake distrubutors on the side of their page

and yeah i checked the PCB line with the one on e3tech.net and its genuine. In the end how did you fix it? Did you just reclip the thing back onto the nor chip for the second time and it magically worked?
