they need to be both CEX, you need to convert back to CEX. if you followed all the steps to convert to rebug 4.21.2 DEX then swithing back should be a breeze if you kept your backups. Below is the qoute from Derek's thread.

"Rename your original CEX dump to CEX-FLASH.EID0.NORBIN (16mb) or CEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN (239mb or 256mb)" - Derektrotter

If you didn't keep that then you may be SOL.

i have aready changed the lv2 kernel back to cex but ehere do i go from there mate?

Does it still give the error? If so then you may want to use the Rogero 4.25 downgrader instead as some people get that to work easier. Just go to my thread...

yh i managed to do it thanks anyways bro...i as doing it because evrytime i went to cod 4 privte mtch th com woul just freeze then i tried it on my rogero and it worked! so i thought it may have been rebug causing it so i went to rogero same shit! it works on my other roero fine! any ideas on that one?

Sounds like a bad bluray drive. That is the most likely fault with it. It is unikely but you did say you were running DEX, that you overheated your PS3 enough times that the CELL processor or RSX Engine has a crack in the soldering. My money is on the bluray tho, try running a game off the hard drive and see if a game freezes.
