Post: dex to cex brick
03-16-2013, 12:34 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); so i bricked my ps3 going from dex to cex >:( i have an e3 card reader and on my laptop, i put the 'e3downgrade.bin' on the 'E3Upgrader' and the light turns blue. i put it in my right most usb slot on my ps3, switch ps3 on from back, power then eject, and the card reader stays red for 8 seconds, then blinks (still on red), then turns off after a further 2 seconds. This means that the payload wasn't sent right? then the console does the usual 5 double beeps after 1 minute and turns off. Please help! been at this for days! i have tried using the left usb slot, still no luck. thanks

i will give some sort of reward like a £5 psn card or paypal, i know it's not a huge reward but i don't really have anything big (except my penis ) Winky Winky

idk wich way you was trying to going back to cex but this is wrong..you need only to convert your targetid then reflash via MM..what you want to try with a dongle and upgrade.bin??its useless..

If you have an E3 flasher you can fix it.

you have a flasher (clip suite) or only the card reader (dongle)??you have your old flash dump of cex??your ps3 turns on to xmb?

i put the 'e3downgrade.bin' on the 'E3Upgrader' and the light turns blue <<<< this part is only for update your dongle

i put it in my right most usb slot on my ps3, switch ps3 on from back, power then eject, and the card reader stays red for 8 seconds, then blinks (still on red), then turns off after a further 2 seconds. This means that the payload wasn't sent right?<<<<<<< for enter fsm you need the lv2.diag

my little tut i post long time on a german forum..translatet by google..im not really good on english

You need a JIG dongle. Say a USB dongle with you go to the Factory Service Mode (FSM).

Then proceed as follows:

First The rear panel of the power plug off. So when Slim consoles unplug the power cord, for FAT consoles one can press the back button.
Second The JIG dongle right connect to the USB port.
Third The PS3 power supply again
4th The PS3 on the ON button to enable and directly after you've pressed the ON button you MUST press the eject button several times quickly.
5th The PS3 goes off again after a moment.
6th Then a (normal) in FAT32 formatted USB stick including firmware and lv2diag.self port in the right stick.
7th Now the PS3 on again. Now the PS3 should start even if the HDD LED is lit longer is a good sign. For then the firmware will be dubbed. The whole should take about 3 minutes. Only then will the PS3 off again.
8th Then you can use the console (hopefully) back on as usual.

Greetings
