I am selling my PS3 because it's factory firmware was 4.00, I am buying a already jailbroken PS3 off eBay. I just have a few questions about how it works and what can be done.

1. Can you still sign in on PSN and play online?
   
2. Can you create XP/Challenge lobbies in MW3 like in MW2?
   
3. Can you rip games?
   
4. Are there any beginner tutorials on where to start?

yes all can be done but if u get ur ps3 on 3.55 ur going 2 have to do more stuff 2 go online. if you get ur ps3 on 4.30/4.21 u have to download a pkg then follow the instructions in the pkg i think if ur on 4.30/4.21 its much better then being on 3.55 cuz u have 2 be on rebug 2 get online also if u would want 2 host mw3 lobbies ur going 2 have 2 be on ur jb. ur jb can be banned for doing mw3 lobbies and bo2 lobbies so be careful. have fun and good luck on getting ur jb ps3.
