So I did the usual download 4.40 ofw and go into recovery mode and update there but ive tried about 2 different mirrors for the 4.40 OFW and both result is data is corrupted. Ive tried doing 4.31 and it gives me no applicable data found as obviously. If I cant fix it I guess the best way to fix it is to wait for a new update but thats long, or try going online on 4.40 but is there chances of ban? HELP

EDIT: I do know how to disable demo mode temporarily but my freind would like his PS3 to be on OFW and be able to play online.
