you need to be on 3.55ofw to jb unless you have something to downgrade with but by the sounds of it you don't.

no im on the latest firmware can you guys provide a link to downgrade and then jailbreak and would i still be able to play games online i only want to jailbreak no to pirate games only to use ftp server thats all

Quote people to make replies easier. You need a e3 flasher to downgrade unless im wrong, and you have a risk of bricking your ps3 i think. Basically go buy one or stop trying.
